Education Innovation & Technology (EIT) is responsible for, among other things, Online & Special Programs activities at the University of Houston. This responsibility includes courses delivered off-campus by face-to-face instruction and all courses delivered by electronic means.

EIT works with academic colleges, faculty and other administrative units to coordinate course and program delivery, student support services, and to provide faculty development opportunities. We also work with colleges and develop and implement Extension programs for domestic and international delivery.

EIT also serves as a liaison with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Southern Regional Education Board on matters related to accurate reporting and maintenance of quality standards.
