The A.D. Bruce Religion Center hosted Day of Remembrance on March 3, 2023, an annual campus memorial service in honor of all University of Houston (UH) students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends that have passed away in the previous year. This was a time where those in attendance could reflect on the life of their loved ones. During the service, four candles were lit by respective leaders from the Student Government Association, Faculty Senate, Staff Council, and the UH Alumni Association.

André J. Adams, director of the A.D. Bruce Religion Center said, “UH Day of Remembrance is not only about remembering, but it’s also a path to healing from the trauma of loss. And we as a community, through our laughs and tears and frustrations, we heal together. For family members who are able to attend in person or virtually, we welcome everyone to be a part of our community. We will continue supporting each other and reminding each other that we are all in this together.”

Please join us in remembering our fellow Coogs that left a lasting impact on our campus and community members. If you missed the ceremony, you may watch the livestream.
