The Cougar Involvement Ambassadors (CIA) are a group of student leaders dedicated to serving as a resource for students that are looking for opportunities to get involved as well as supporting all registered student organizations on campus. CIA can offer one-on-one consultations to students looking to get involved in an organization, group consultations to students looking to start a new organization, and workshops for established organizations. Cougar Involvement Ambassadors are located in the Student Center North at the Commons Desk, and oversee the Commons Desk, Carrel Spaces, and the Student Organization Resource Room.

The resource room holds a variety of items for student organizations to check out! Need to make a banner? Want to design a flyer? We’ve got you covered. To check out items in the Resource Room, you just need to go to the Commons Desk and let the Cougar Involvement Ambassadors know what you need.
Student Organizations can have a mailbox at the Commons Desk. If you would like a mailbox, just specify in your organization registration that you would like to have a mailbox, or you can contact us at cia@uh.edu and we will help you get a mailbox for your organization.
The Carrel spaces have 106 spaces that are available for Student Organization use. Organizations apply for a carrel space during organization registration in April.
If you are looking to get involved and do not know where to start, we can help you! Please fill out the involvement consultation survey above to help us find tailored opportunities for you.
If you are interested in scheduling a workshop for your student organization on topics including conflict management, getting involved, and organization finances please contact the Cougar Involvement Ambassadors.
If you are interested in creating a New Student Organization, please contact the Cougar Involvement Ambassadors to help guide you through the process.
Cougar Involvement Ambassadors host virtual opportunities for RSOs to showcase their organization through a social media event, called Involvement Blasts!
This opportunity gives organizations more of a presence on campus and students the chance to find organizations centered around their interests. Each semester, CIA hosts three Involvement Blast Weeks on our social media to feature your organization! Click on the icon for more information and link to sign up!
If your organization would like to participate please complete the form via the link below (**you must be logged in to Get Involved to complete this form**). We look forward to seeing your application!
