Global Citizenship

CCS undergraduate students are encouraged to take advantage of an exciting opportunity to further enhance their undergraduate degrees by earning a Global Citizens Credential (GCC), a distinction that will be added to their diplomas.

The purpose of the GCC is to demonstrate mastery of core global competencies needed for future success in an increasingly competitive workforce and interconnected world. In order to receive the GCC, a student must earn a minimum of 10 points through participation in the following five categories: global courses, learning abroad, language proficiency, global scholarly work, and intercultural activities. More information about how points are calculated can be found on the GCC website

Students majoring or minoring in Anthropology or Religious Studies automatically earn 4 points towards the credential since these are approved global majors/minors under the “global courses” category.

Students interested in distinguishing themselves as a ‘Global Citizens’ should visit the GCC website to register.
