Lauren is a graduate student in the Master of Social Work program at UH. She has internship and volunteer experience with various nonprofit organizations that care for the low-income elderly, provide classes and women’s wellness events to refugees, and connect youth with community service opportunities. Her areas of interest include community gardens, stress/anxiety management, spiritual health, education as a form of empowerment, and individuals’ overall adjustment to college and adult life.

Lauren was raised in Abilene, TX, but came to Houston in 2019 for her undergraduate studies in Religion and Statistics. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, trying new recipes, and sewing, and she wants to learn how to cross-stitch.
