Doudou Hu is an empathetic therapist joining the University of Houston’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Specializing in family dynamics, parenting, and parent-child relationships, she brings experiences in addressing the psychological needs of families, adolescents, and young adults in various settings.
Trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Doudou utilizes a comprehensive and adaptable therapeutic approach. Her practice is centered on creating a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space, allowing for a safe and supportive counseling environment.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin Chinese, Doudou is well-equipped to offer culturally sensitive counseling. Her presence at CAPS is geared towards enhancing the mental well-being of students, helping them navigate the unique challenges of college life while fostering personal growth and resilience.
