UH community invited to attend Coffee with a Cop gatherings this fall

coffee with a copOfficers from the University of Houston Police Department will gather four times this semester with members of the UH community to discuss community issues and build relationships while drinking coffee. The first of the Coffee with a Cop events will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Student Center Satellite. It will allow students, faculty and staff to ask questions and learn more about the work UHPD is doing. The rest of the semester schedule is as follows (all are from 9 to 10 a.m.):

  • Oct. 14 – Energy Research Park, Building 6
  • Nov. 11 – Student Center Satellite
  • Dec. 2 – Energy Research Park, Building 6

UHPD Sgt. Dina Padovan said the gatherings will allow for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

“We hope the UH community feels comfortable to come meet with us and ask questions,” she said. “If they have concerns, they can bring them to us. They can also just come and enjoy some coffee and get to know our officers.”
