The University of Houston Department of Public Safety has partnered with other teams under the Administration and Finance Division to raise funds for the March of Dimes.
By receiving sponsors for the March of Dimes March for Babies Walk, asking for contributions, and selling lunches, snacks, St. Patrick’s Day pins, blue jeans pins, acknowledgement cards and other fun items, A&F Division contributed $2,738 to the March of Dimes this year – more than doubled the total from 2015.
Many Administration and Finance staff members supported this campaign and also helped behind the scenes with the fundraisers. Extra recognition is be given to the following people who contributed many hours to this campaign in effort to make this happen.
Cindy Granier - Administration and Finance Division MOD Division Leader and Team Captain for the Department of Public Safety
Cindy Galvez - Team Captain for Facilities Management, and
Brianna Johnson - Team Captain for Student Business Services
Although the March for Babies Walk has finished, it is not too late to donate. Those who are interested in contributing may do so through this link.
The funds that have already been contributed to the March of Dimes have impacted the lives of babies in Texas and across the country. From genetic research to providing information about preterm labor, the strides made in premature birth research and prevention are possible.
The UH Department of Public Safety and the UH Administration and Finance Division, along with the March of Dimes, thanks all of the participants who have contributed their time to this campaign. For additional information, contact Cindy Granier at cgranier@uh.edu.
