CSATS - Computer Security Awareness Training for Students
CSATS was designed with the help of students and uses videos of UH students and games to teach students how to protect their computers, personal information and UH computers from hackers, phishers, spammers, and other risks. Students will learn about their shared responsibility to create a safe computing environment on campus.
CSATS is an educational, engaging and fun e-Book filled with helpful security information about email, passwords, copyright, P2P file-sharing, identity theft, social networking, protecting computers, laptops and mobile devices and much more.
After completing CSATS, students will be able to:
- Identify computer security risks.
- Take the appropriate actions to reduce those risks.
- Understand basic computer security practices.
- Take the appropriate actions to secure your computer.
Take the CSATS Course
Log in to CSATS using your CougarNet credentials to take the CSATS course which takes 30 minutes or less to complete. If you do not have a CougarNet account, contact the UIT Support Center for assistance.
At the end of the course, take a short quiz consisting of 10 questions with unlimited attempts to successfully pass with a score of 80%. A confirmation email will be sent to your UH email account to indicate successful completion of the training.
