Research Assistant Professor Kristina Van Dyke is currently writing a manuscript on depictions of disease in terra cotta figures produced in the Inland Niger Delta of Mali between the 11th and 17th centuries. At the Honors College, she is part of an interdisciplinary High Performance Computing team that is exploring applications of 3D scanning for art historical research and pedagogy. Van Dyke received her master’s from Williams College and her doctorate from Harvard University. She was previously director of the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and prior to that, Curator for Collections and Research at the Menil Collection.
