Everette S. Gardner Jr. is professor of Decision and Information Sciences and director of The Honors Program in the Bauer College of Business. He is a Vietnam veteran who served twenty years in the United States Navy and retired with the rank of Commander. Dr. Gardner has authored or coauthored four books, including Quantitative Approaches to Management (8th edition) from McGraw-Hill. He has published more than fifty research articles on business forecasting, one of which was ranked as the third most influential article ever published in the field. In 2007, Gardner was elected a Fellow of the International Institute of Forecasters. He is also the winner of the Midcon Corporation Award for Teaching Excellence. He received his doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
