The goal of the Office of Academic Affairs is to provide all CLASS undergraduate students with quality service.

Office of Assessment and Accreditation Services

The Office of Assessment and Accreditation Services (OAAS) is dedicated to highlighting and assisting the assessment process in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The OAAS is part of the UH Office of Institutional Research.

Office of Budgets and Administration

The Office of Budgets and Administration directs the college’s business operations and assists faculty and staff with financial management.

Office of Communication

The Office of Communication promotes public awareness of the research, faculty, students and events within the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences.

Office of Development

The Office of Development in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is tasked with raising support for the college and its various programs and initiatives.

Office of Educational Technology

The Office of Educational Technology (OET) provides the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences faculty with Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) services, and Web Services (CWS).

CLASS Instructional Design & Technology (IDT)

IDT handles instructional design for faculty within the college, which includes help with Blackboard Vista and other in-class learning and pedagogical tools.

CLASS Web Services (CWS)

CWS handles the creation and maintenance of the CLASS website and websites within CLASS.

Research Grants & Fellowships

Angela Clifton (The College Research Liaison Officer, 713-743-3702), aids faculty in identifying grant sponsors, fellowship applications and research funding opportunities.

CLASS Information Services (CIS)

CIS provide faculty, staff and students with hardware & software support, server and network support, and database development within the college.
