On an exit ramp just off the Dallas-Ft. Worth Turnpike, a small spherical vehicle touched down without a whisper. After careful research on the subject, the occupants of the craft had concluded since the inhabitants of this planet were expecting any self-respecting UFO to have lights, just not to use them. Smart beings these visitors. Inside the craft, the head accountant was fast at work. Space travel is so expensive, he thought. We're way over budget on this thing and I really don't see what benefit it is to our home planet other than we beat the Ronalds in getting here. He sighed deeply and adjusted the volume on a small radio confiscated from a earthling so that they could monitor air traffic control broadcasts. He was right in the midst of calculating fuel costs and meal allowances for the crew when he almost swallowed his third tongue. A traffic helicopter had just reported that an UFO had stalled on the DFW off ramp and was causing a major backup in traffic.

"Yeah friends, it seems the Metroplex has a stalled UFO on Highway 80. " He then deadpanned, "You think a Honda Dealership might have the parts for that thing? My advice? Leave a little earlier if you plan to pick up someone from DFW tonight or use an alternate route. "

"Zizz, move the gerking craft" he barked. "Who taught you to triangulate? We're 300 miles off course. "

Zizz' s fifth eyebrow wavered slightly in indignation. "The same WASTER that told me we were all clear for landing," he thought. Zizz accessed the flight computer again and recalculated a course.

"Okay, Adax we should be landing at Astroworld in 14 blectors." Irritatedly, Adax acknowledged the correction.

"You know I'm going to have to justify the additional fuel this will take?" Adax sighed deeply.

On Adax's home planet, Smack, life was simple. So simple in fact that only a few species had progressed past the amoebae stages. The two species that had, were content to lie around and munch on their favorite snack, amoebas. However, Adax and Zizz belong to one of the only two species on the planet that yearned for dental insurance and cable TV. Of course the dreaded Ronalds too were explorers of space, but they only did it to irritate the Reggies and to make them waste resources in staying slightly ahead. Thus was born a race into space to find new life, new technologies and quality programming with social content. The Reggies were first drawn to the earth when they intercepted a broadcast of Gilligan's Island . Fascinated by the ability of this lifeform to build vehicles and complex machinery from leaves and bamboo, they sought to learn more of these inventive beings. It was then discovered that this planet had an abundance of what was a precious rarity on the planet Smack, fresh water. Adax had heard legends of these earthlings that were so wasteful of this resource that they actually dipped their bodies into the liquid and then disposed of it. Not their dirty bodies mind you, but the water! Earthlings. What a silly bunch of bi-peds.

"Oh, Zizz. Pan right 25 degrees on takeoff. I want to see that South Fork Ranch everyone is so keen about."
