    internship & work experience

     National Oilwell Varco   (Project Manager)              Summer 2008 & Summer 2009

-  Determined and implemented the exact organizational needs of internal clients using the company's product lifecycle management software Teamcenter.

-  Adapted to the various internal procedures of the company, formed close links with the nominated representatives and ensured that the key issues of cost, time, quality, and client satisfaction can be realized.

     University of Houston   (Teaching & Research Assistant)              Since August 2006 - Present

-  Conducted research on two-phase flow and heat transfer characteristics of refrigerants in narrow channels. Designed and built an experimental facility able to simultaneously capture photographic & thermographic data for a channel of 1mm hydraulic diameter.

-   Analyzed these data and presented results. Simulated the temperature distribution using FLUENT. 

-  Assisted in conducting the experiments and maintaining the facilities for the Thermal-Fluids Laboratory class, graded the students' reports.

    Treasury of Republic of Turkey   (Internship)                      Summer 2005

-  Followed a seminar series about the working principles of the Treasury.

-  Worked on the inflation targeting in the Japanese economy and its possible application to Turkish economy.

    Faurecia   (Translator)                                                         Fall 2004

-  Translated the spending report & investment plans of Faurecia Turkey, presented it to French auditors. Communicated with the Production Department about it

    Honda Turkey   (Internship)                                           Summer 2004

Worked at the assembly department on the renovation, development and enlargement project of the Gebze plant for the production of Honda City model .

Scheduled the required changes for the installation of new machines .

Researched a similar development at the Honda UK Auto Plant (at Swindon), translated, summarized and reported it to the planning department .

Observed and outlined the production of Honda Civic Sedan model and presented it as a project at Bogazici University .
