    Hosting CAPS Presents Let’s Talk Program

    This program, coordinated by Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS), is the opportunity for students to visit with a therapist for an informal confidential consultation. Held weekly on Tuesdays at 3 pm in our classroom.

    Fresh Check Day is a large-scale mental health education and awareness day. Several campus resources are present to talk to students about different types of mental health care.

    Mental Health First Aid

    Mental Health First Aid teaches participants a five-step action plan, ALGEE. Like CPR, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to interact with a person in crisis and connect the person with help. Click to Register

    LEAD – ing Well: A LeadUH Workshop

    3:00 – 4:00pm
    Location TBD

    Learning to lead yourself is just as important as learning to lead others! In this workshop, students will learn the core principles of effective leadership, including development of interpersonal skills and the importance of personal well – being. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in group discussions and activities involving communication, conflict resolution, and appropriate use of assertive language.

    Join us as we honor the lives lost to HIV/AIDS, and commit ourselves to education and advocacy. Our signature World AIDS Week display and resource fair will occur on Thursday, November 29th in Butler Plaza from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

    Title IX Talks is a new program for Faculty & Staff to learn more about issues surrounding Title IX. Each month will have a different topic, including Pregnancy & Parenting needs, the effects of alcohol on consent, and current events.
