Getting to the Finish Line: State and Metro Area Strategies to Increase College Completion by Returning Adults presents findings from the third year of HigherEd Insight's evaluation of the Lumina Foundation's adult college completion initiative. State and metro strategies highlighted in the report include outreach and marketing efforts and providing targeted support to returning adults, including directing them towards colleges and universities that specialize in serving non-traditional students and creating a network of adult-friendly institutions. The need to structure academic programs to meet the needs of returning adults -- including collaborative degree programs and credit for prior learning -- are also highlighted.
