About the competition

The cloudathon@UH competition is an annual team competition to provide students with industry relevant experience for entry level cloud-based roles. Over 30 universities and colleges are invited in the Texas and surrounding states region. Powered by the AWS platform, students will work the problem using the full services provided by AWS.

  • Lunch and snacks will be provided to all participants during the day
  • Participants will receive cloudathon@UH t-shirts
  • Teams should have a minimum one laptop, recommended all team members have their laptops
  • Top three (3) teams will receive prize award money and medals
  • Special mention to three (3) teams in different categories
  • Registration fee is $15 per team member

Problem Areas:

  • Analyzing, designing, configuring and implementing AWS infrastructure architectures
  • Architecting and implementing secured systems and services in the AWS platform
  • Provisioning and deployment of AWS-based infrastructures and systems
  • Management and operations of infrastructure and applications in the AWS platform
