Liu joined Dr. Zhang’s lab in July, 2012. She works on two projects:
electrical property imagingbased on magnetic
resonance (MR) technique and muscle
activity imaging from surface EMGmeasurement.
The first project targets to cancer early detection, since the normal
and malignant humantissues usually present significantly different
electrical property. By taking advantage of the advanced MRtechnique,
high-accuracy and spatial resolution electrical property distribution
images can be imaged. Thepurpose of the second project is to accurately
localize the position of innervation zone inside of the targetmuscle to
guide BTX injections for post-stroke spasticity treatment. Yang Liu’s
research interests includelarge-scale electromagnetic field
numerical calculation and computer simulation, algorithm
study anddesign for image reconstruction.
