Application Checklist
Application Process:
1. Complete the NursingCAS online application for undergraduate admission at the NursingCAS website. Please note that it takes 4-6 weeks for NursingCAS to process your application. You may start your Nursing CAS application on January 1.
2. Request all official transcripts be sent directly to NursingCAS. Students should ensure that all official documents have been submitted to Nursing CAS at least 6 weeks prior to the deadline date. To be eligible for this program you must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in your cumulative (all) course work. All university core and Second Degree BSN track course work must be completed prior to the August 1 deadline.
3. Schedule a time and complete the TEAS VI nursing entrance exam. Register for the exam at ATI. Ensure the exam results are sent to the Gessner College of Nursing. In addition, the exam results will be uploaded into the NursingCAS application.
4. Complete the social security form and fax to 713-743-1164.
Acceptance:
All students must pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to final admission.
Our admission process is very competitive. The most qualified applicants who meet at least the minimum criteria are selected from the verified applicant pool.
