BARC Animal Shelter
Friday, April 15, 2022
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The City of Houston BARC Animal Shelter has a mission to promote and protect public health and animal care through sheltering, pet placement programs, pet ownership education and animal law enforcement. Barc accepts all animals and expands the foster program to outside the city.
Volunteers will be working with animals at the shelter and assisting the shelter’s needs. These tasks include, but are not limited to: taking dogs out of their kennels to the outside play area to walk and play with them, clean areas, or socializing dogs. This allows the shelter dogs to exercise and socialize outside, making their personalities come out to increase their chances of adoption/ rescue.
