Major and Career Exploration Week 

Major and Career Exploration Week is an exciting and informative week designed to empower UH students with the knowledge, resources, and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. This week-long program is a comprehensive exploration of majors, and careers, aimed at helping students navigate the pivotal choices they face during their college journey.   By the end of the week, participants will be better prepared to make informed decisions about their majors and future careers, setting them on a path to success.  Please RSVP for all presentations in Cougar Pathway.

MD Anderson Library Collections and Space Project Begins

Effective October 16, MD Anderson Library floors 7 and 8 will be CLOSED for an extended period. Seating will be redistributed within the library and books will be available by request.

Suicide Remembrance Reception and Gallery

UH Wellness and CAPS are hosting a reception for students, faculty, and staff to remember those they’ve lost to suicide or mental health challenges. Attendees will be able to hear from members of the UH community who have experienced loss first hand.

Date: Tuesday, October 24th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., located at the Elizabeth D. Rockwell Pavillion. Click here for more information. 

Fresh Check Day 

Fresh Check Day is a national event from the Jordan Porco Foundation that seeks to bring awareness to different types of mental health issues and coping strategies, along with campus mental health resources in a fun and interactive experience. Join us for free giveaways and an honest and open conversation on mental health.

Date: Wednesday, October 25th, beginning at 11 a.m., located at Lynn Eusan Park. Click here to learn more. 

UH Energy Alumni Night 

This is a unique event held for students to network with UH alumni within the energy industry and build genuine relationships. If you are interested in the energy industry and don't know where to get started, what classes would be the most useful, what skillsets would provide the most value in the upcoming decade, come out and ask industry professionals directly.  - Food & drinks will be served. There will be gift cards & prizes for giveaways and games at the event.

Alzheimer's Association Student Summit 

The Alzheimer's Association will be sharing information to spread awareness about Alzheimer's disease while sharing current research related to the disease. They will also have the Walk to End Alzheimer's on campus on Saturday, November 4th. RSVP for the Student Summit here

Date: November 1st, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Zoom.
