Dear UH Faculty, Staff and Students:

The Curative COVID-19 testing kiosk at UH will permanently close on Friday, Dec. 16. Curative is closing all of its testing sites nationwide. Limited COVID-19 testing options will remain available on campus at the Student Health Center and UH Health Family Care Center. If you have tested positive or exhibit symptoms of COVID-19, you should continue to follow UH guidelines.

Student COVID-19 Testing

The Student Health Center provides COVID-19 symptomatic testing by appointment only for students who are sick or may be experiencing symptoms of the virus. Students who need a COVID-19 test due to illness or symptoms should make a telemedicine appointment with a medical provider through the Healthy Coog Patient Portal or by calling 713-743-5151. The cost of COVID-19 testing at the Student Health Center varies by insurance. Learn more at the Student Health Center website.

Faculty and Staff COVID-19 Testing

Faculty and staff should contact the UH Health Family Care Center, their primary care physician or a community testing location for testing. All other testing needs should be completed through either an at-home test (available from most pharmacies) or through a community testing resource.

Flu season is currently underway and other contagious respiratory illnesses are also spreading. If you have not already done so, I encourage you to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza. The Campus Pharmacy has a limited supply of COVID-19 (Pfizer) and seasonal flu vaccines available by appointment to UH students, faculty and staff. Visit the Campus Pharmacy website for more information and to schedule your appointment.
