MLK Day Celebration Welcome back Coogs! The MLK Jr. Committee invites you to participate in the celebration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by attending one or several events and programs happening this month. The 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is an opportunity for the University of Houston community to celebrate and reflect on the legacy and life of the most consequential civil rights leader. This year’s theme is “Friends of the King” in honor of various individuals, past and present, whose collective effort advanced equality, recognition, and empowerment for all. Coffee With a Cop Coffee with a Cop is an opportunity for officers to connect with the university community and talk with students, staff, and faculty about issues that affect them - all over a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and muffins.
