Dear UH Community:

We invite you to recognize the University of Houston’s global reach and impact by joining us in celebrating International Education Week (IEW) at UH next week from November 15-19.

To kick-off this weeklong IEW series of event, we will be hosting the IEW Opening Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center South, Houston Room (202). At this launch event, you can visit interactive booths hosted by many of the offices, departments, and student organizations represented on the IEW Committee, and enjoy cultural performances, prizes, snacks, and more!

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. IEW promotes the benefits of international education and cultural exchange. IEW is celebrated across the United States and by U.S. Embassies around the world every year on the third week of November. Here at the University of Houston, IEW is an opportunity to highlight our global programs and international opportunities as well as celebrate our cultural diversity.

To view a complete list of in-person and virtual events, please see the flyer or visit the UH IEW 2021 website.
