A Message From the Provost
Dear UH Community,
Summer is passing us by. Before we know it, we’ll be starting a new academic year and officially welcoming students back to campus.
Although this recent heat has been a bit extreme, I will admit that it’s refreshing to see future Coogs during their first visits to UH.
Camps, orientations, and other events are currently bringing tomorrow’s Cougars to the campus. This is indeed exciting and clearly demonstrates that our institution is the University of choice for so many students.
As you see these new faces on our campus, don’t hesitate to offer greetings or words of welcome. They soon will be part of the University family and will need our support.
As author and essayist Charles Bowden once said, “Summertime is always the best of what might be.” We are indeed seeing just that with the arrival of our next generation of Cougars.
Have a great summer!
