Dear Students:

Welcome back! All of us are excited that fall classes have begun and are pleased to see you on campus. Our faculty, staff and administration have worked tirelessly to provide you with the vibrant educational experiences that you expect.

As you begin your new semester as a Cougar, I want to remind you of some important items that can assist you in your successful journey this fall semester:

  • While we all use social media to communicate with our friends, family and others, it is critical for you to open messages sent to your campus email (uh.edu) so you do not miss important information related to your classes as well as important alerts from UH. Your official UH email address is the way that your professors communicate with you and your classmates. Don't miss an update on an exam or other vital information.
  • I am excited to introduce you to the new Grade Center module on UH Go. It is designed with you in mind. Instead of going to three different online sources to view your grades, the Grade Center aggregates current grades from Blackboard, CASA, and myUH into one place for you to view them. All grades are included, whether from quizzes, homework assignments or midterms. Grades are updated every four hours.
  • I strongly encourage you to email me at Provost@uh.edu if you have specific questions regarding your classes and other concerns. I want to hear from you!

Have a great semester and Go Coogs!
