Executive Functioning Skills in the Classroom
Wednesday, March 5, 2025
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Facilitator: Dr. Laura Heidel, LAUNCH Director
Students with executive functioning difficulties, ADHD/ADD, learning disabilities, and autism often face unique challenges in academic settings. This session will provide an in-depth look at how these characteristics manifest in the classroom, including difficulties with attention, working memory, emotional regulation, and seeing the big picture. Participants will gain insight into common struggles and learn practical instructional strategies to support students with low executive functioning skills while exploring effective learning techniques and classroom interventions that enhance student success. Our goal is to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment!
