Tenants of the University of Houston may not be able to fully utilize the Regulated Waste Manual as some exceptions are based on the status of the University as an academic institution of higher education. Some wastes may be regulated differently (more stringently, less stringently, or in a way that could result in a regulatory violation) for tenants and occupants of the university. University laboratories, shops, and business occupancies can all rely on the Regulated Waste Manual.
