EHS assists faculty, staff, and students in maintaining compliance applicable environmental regulations. These include rules for air emissions, water discharges, waste disposal, and petroleum storage tanks. The University is very much like a small city in terms of environmental compliance, requiring coordination at the local, state, and federal level. The University is also a member of the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA).
