Enrollment Services is proud to announce that Katina McGhee has been named Assistant Vice President of Campus Solutions, University of Houston (UH), and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Campus Solutions, University of Houston System (UHS), effective May 2019.

McGhee’s new role will augment her oversight of production support; new functionality developments and security for the University of Houston System’s student information system; PeopleSoft Campus Solutions; and the Customer Relationship Management system, Radius.

“I am excited to be recognized in this role and feel privileged to be able to work with business owners and end-users across the University of Houston System,” said McGhee.

McGhee has served the University in numerous capacities for more than 27 years. From an Arte Público Press work-study student to an intern in the Controller’s office, she later served as an Accountant and Financial Analyst in State Accounting. Her desire to work with numbers and people led her to the PeopleSoft Project in 2000, where she was hired to work on the implementation of Student Financials to support tuition and fee calculation, billing and payments. In 2002, she completed the successful go-live of the Student Financials module for the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL).

In 2007, McGhee was promoted to Application Director and was responsible for directing support and improvements for all modules within the Campus Solutions application for UH, UHCL and the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV). In 2011, she was promoted to Executive Director — recognizing an increase in responsibility managing UH’s Enrollment Management Production Support IT team.

Within the last few years, McGhee has provided direction for the implementation and go-live of the Radius CRM applications for UH, UHCL and UHV. She also has been co-managing the University of Houston-Downtown’s (UHD) migration to Campus Solutions.

“I am pleased we are able to recognize Katina’s outstanding contributions to the Campus Solutions Services department and University of Houston System through this promotion,” said Mara Affre, University of Houston Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services. “Katina’s passion for student service and her commitment to excellence serve as daily inspiration to all of us in Enrollment Services.”

McGhee earned her Master of Business Administration from UHV and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from UH.
