The start of the new school year and the 2017 UH Weeks of Welcome (UHWOW17), which represents the first two weeks of the fall semester (Thursday, August 17 – Sunday, September 3), is kicking into high gear. As part of the many UHWOW events and programs, numerous departments and staff will be working to connect students with university resources, student organizations, and the surrounding community.

Below are some great opportunities to connect with new and returning students:

The Cat's Back

Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC)

The Cat’s Back is the official UH welcome event for all students. This event includes a Student Organizations Fair, Free Food, games, give-ways, and much more.

Campus Prowl

Tuesday, August 29, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Campus Prowl is a one-day, campus-wide open house event that needs volunteers to assist with instructions and directions for student participants who are looking to visit the different Campus Prowl areas.

MyUH, MyHouston

Thursday, August 31, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

The University of Houston is partnering with Houston First to host, an interactive, multimedia event to give UH students an opportunity to learn about all there is to offer in the city of Houston.
