The departments within the Division of Student Affairs host a variety of programs and events throughout the year. The majority of events are planned in collaboration with other departments on campus to maximize each student's learning experience both inside and outside the classroom. A few of the major events held each year are highlighted below.
Celebrating a decade as a campus-wide tradition, The Cat's Back initiative helps promote and inform the UH community about the multitude of events that take place during the first two weeks of the fall semester. By providing information about events/programs, the Cat's Back initiative can assist you and/or your department in promoting your event/program through the Cat's Back website.
Come back to campus for Homecoming to reconnect to the good old days, celebrate everything that’s new and get excited about the bright future we have to look forward to. There’s something fun for everyone, and it’s all right here in your “home-sweet-Cougar-home”!
Frontier Fiesta is a student-run, student-led festival hosted by the University of Houston to promote scholarship, community, and education in the University of Houston students, staff, and faculty, as well as in the Houston community.
The focus of Family Weekend is to welcome parents, family members, and family friends of our students to campus so that they can have the opportunity to experience a portion of their student's life at The University of Houston.
