The HUB Virtual Spot Bid Fair hosted by Senator Royce West is scheduled for May 23-24, 2023. Outlined below are actions requiring your attention:
College/ Division Actions:
Each College or Division is asked to provide five (5) HUB eligible opportunities. Opportunities can be broken down into single units.
Requisitions can be submitted to Purchasing starting Thursday, March 9, 2023; no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023.
The process to send items, selection and notification process are outlined below:
- Send all selected opportunities (no minimum threshold) to Purchasing via a requisition with a Solicitation Request Form.
- When the requisition is submitted to Purchasing, please email the requisition number to Eric Shen (etshen@central.uh.edu) and Rob Adkins (rsadkins@central.uh.edu).
- The vendor's name can be left blank. Indicate “2023 Senator Royce West Spot Bid Fair” in the requisition comment field.
- Once requisitions are submitted, no cancellations may be made.
- Purchasing will prepare the solicitation documents for the bid fair, which will include the university’s terms and conditions and vendor set-up Form/instructions.
- The standard purchasing practices will apply to this process.
If the lowest submitted bid is over the budgeted amount, the University may award to the vendor with the lowest price with a variance of a flat 2% or up to $250, whichever is lower.
