Scott Selected as National Nutrition and Dietetics Delegate


University of Houston College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Department of Health and Human Performance is pleased to announce that Claudia Scott has been elected to the national House of Delegates by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

In this prestigious role, Scott will work to identify problems and shape solutions to challenges facing the registered dietician profession. Scott will be directly involved in strategic planning and changes through policies, actions and composition for the next three years.   

As a clinical associate professor and nutrition program faculty member, Scott has also been awarded the Ross M. Lence Award for Teaching Excellence and the UH Teaching Excellence Award in 2016, and has been the recipient of the Outstanding Dietetic Educator award from the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for 2014-2015.
