Dr. Rebecca Golden Timsar is the Associate Director of the Graduate Certificate in Global Energy, Development & Sustainability (GEDS) at the University of Houston. Her article, "Amnesty and New Violence in the Niger Delta" was published on Forbes Magazine via their Energy Blog on March 20, 2018. In this article, Dr. Golden Timsar examines the evidence from her last trip to the Niger Delta in early 2018, wherein she found that the amnesty given by the Nigerian presidency in 2009 has not been as effective as envisioned, and rather violence has continued on matters regarding oil theft and crimes.

    Good Design FITs Everyone

    Industrial design students at the University of Houston Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design have broken their own record in this year’s international FIT Sport Design Awards.
