Zianab Bayanzay is an educator and advocate in the field of Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Houston. She received her Master of Arts in Education, Instruction, and Curriculum from the University of the Pacific, as well as her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Additionally, she is also an aspiring poet and creative writer. Her research interests are the experiences of Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) college students, poetry as research methodology, and the counter-narratives of misrepresented student populations.
