Patrick Higgins
Dr. Patrick Higgins holds a PhD in History from the University of Houston and currently serves as Program
Director of the Arab American Education Foundation Center for Arab Studies, of which
he is an alumnus. His research focuses on Arab revolutions and US imperialism in West
Asia. His writings have been published in numerous academic and popular outlets, including
Middle East Critique, Ebb Magazine, and Liberated Texts. He has presented his research in diverse forums, including the Middle East Studies
Association (MESA) and the New Directions in Palestinian Studies at Brown University.
He is currently developing his dissertation project, about the evolution of Arab anti-imperialist
theory in the era of US-led imperialism, into a book manuscript, among several other
projects.
