The 52nd Southwest Conference on Asian Studies (SWCAS) hosts its Annual Meeting on “Voices and Visions: New Perspectives in Asian Studies” (https://www.swcas.net/) at Student Center South on Friday-Saturday, November 3-4, 2023. SWACS will have an array of virtual and in-person panel sessions at the University of Houston, and more than 220 scholars, including faculty, graduate and undergraduate students will present in person and online.
About the Southwest Conference on Asian Studies
The Southwest Conference on Asian Studies (SWCAS) celebrates local and global scholarship and perspectives of Asian studies with a focus on “Voices and Visions: New Perspectives in Asian Studies.” Over 200 scholars and students will gather at the University of Houston to hear interdisciplinary discussions featuring previously marginalized perspectives and explore the increasingly vital connections between Global Asia and the U.S.
