A Celebration of Excellence, presented by American Classics, showcases outstanding high school varsity choirs in the beautiful sanctuary of South Main Baptist Church. Providing a high quality recording made by an expert audio engineer in a superb acoustical setting to each participating group is a priority. In this inaugural year, the concluding concert will be presented by the acclaimed University of Houston Moores School Concert Chorale under the direction of Betsy Cook Weber. The Concert Chorale will perform repertoire by Salamone Rossi, Shulamit Ran, Carlos Cordero, Ben May, David Ashley White, Mack Wilberg, Philip Lawson and Moses Hogan.

About the Concert Chorale
The Concert Chorale is the premier UH choral ensemble and consists of 40 – 50 singers, conducted by Dr. Betsy Cook Weber. Membership is open to advanced and experienced choral singers from all departments. The purpose of this ensemble is to provide high-level opportunities in collaborative singing. Performance literature includes a wide variety of musical styles from the standard concert repertory. Under Weber’s leadership, Concert Chorale has gathered acclaim across the United States and Europe.
