University of Houston System and UH Policies

Use of University of Houston marks, logos and brand elements is governed by the UH System and University policies listed below:

SAM 01.D.03 Trademark Management

This University of Houston System policy promotes and protects the System and its component universities by defining the standards and processes that have been put in place to protect both the System and individual university trademarks.

MAPP 01.04.01 University Marketing and Communication

This University of Houston policy defines the rules and procedures governing the use of the brand by all divisions, departments and business units on campus.

MAPP 04.01.03 Procurement - General

This University of Houston policy requires UH Branding approval of all advertisements or printed items with any University of Houston logo, logotype or trademark. It also mandates the use of licensed vendors for all purchases of merchandise bearing UH brand marks and requires adherence to the UH Brand Identity guidelines for all UH units.
