Dave Fehling is news director at News 88.7 FM, the local National Public Radio station in Houston. He has led changes to reshape the newsroom culture and sharpen the focus of the station’s newscasts and talk shows in order to promote hard-hitting journalism in the nation’s sixth largest radio market. Fehling joined Houston Public Media after three decades as a television reporter and anchor in Houston and as a staff correspondent for CBS News.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from DePauw University.

John Hall leads the Environmental Defense Fund’s clean energy efforts in Texas, promoting the use of clean energy resources and the electrification of the public and private vehicle fleet. With more than three decades of public service and consulting in Texas, Hall is recognized for his work in the area of water management, clean air initiatives, energy conservation and renewable energy planning.

He previously served as executive director for the Texas Environmental Research Consortium in Houston, chairman at The Texas Water Commission and the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, predecessor agencies to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Hall has a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and a master’s of public affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.

Ed Hirs is BDO Fellow for Natural Resources and a UH Energy Fellow at the University of Houston, where he teaches energy economics to undergraduate and graduate students.

Christine Tezak leads ClearView Energy Partners’ work on electricity markets, interstate pipelines, energy infrastructure and U.S. environmental policy, drawing upon more than two decades of experience in the electric utility and natural gas pipeline sectors. Prior to joining ClearView, Tezak was a senior research analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co. and a senior vice president with the Washington Research Group. She has testified before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Tezak served eight terms on the board of the Washington, D.C.-based Women's Council on Energy & the Environment, including two terms as board president. She remains active in WCEE and is a member of the Natural Gas Roundtable and the Women’s Energy Network. She is a non-attorney member of the Energy Bar Association. Tezak earned a bachelor's degree in Russian from Boston College and an MBA in finance from the George Washington University.
