BacigalupiDon Bacigalupi (Art, '83) is the director of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Ark. He was previously the president and chief executive officer of the Toledo (Ohio) Museum of Art since 2003. Prior to that, he was the executive director of the San Diego Museum of Art Bacigalupi also served as director and chief curator of Blaffer Gallery, the Art Museum of the University of Houston from 1999 to 1995.

Peter Röhe Barthelme (Economics, ’89) is managing partner of Röhe & Wright Builders. The company has won multiple 2006 PRISM Awards, recognizing Houston’s top home builders. Röhe & Wright received awards for Custom Home of the Year (in two price categories), Custom Home Kitchen of the Year, and Town Home/Multiplex of the Year.

BridgewaterJ. Downey Bridgwater (Music, ’84), president and chief executive officer of Sterling Bank, has been named chairman of the board of directors for Sterling Bancshares, Inc. Bridgwater was a recipient of the 2005 Houston Alumni Organization Distinguished Service Award.

FrankCathy Coers Frank (’80) and her husband, Jay Frank, began Reunions by Class Act, a full-service reunion planning company, in 1995. Class Act has grown in the past 12 years to become the most-established reunion-planning company in Houston. She has remained a diligent volunteer for Chi Omega and UH since her graduation in 1980 and currently serves as a board member for UH Band Alumni. In 2006, Cathy was honored as the Chi Omega Alumna of the Year by the Houston Chi Omega Alumnae Association. She was also recipient of the Houston Alumni Organization's Distinguished Service Award and was presented the award at the annual dinner at the UH Hilton on November 30, 2006.

GutierrezSally Gutierrez (Consumer & Home Economics, ’80) has been appointed director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Research and Development's National Risk Management Research Laboratory in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the first Hispanic female to be appointed to this leadership position.

JonesConSandra Jones (Journalism, ’84) is a Leadership Coach, Organizational Consultant, and Author. She has published has published two books, Wisdom for the Journey, Practical Tips for Creating the Life You Want and A Journey Back to Me: Rediscovering Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Wholeness.

MartiniLou Martini Jr. (Radio & Television, ’84) joined the cast of the “family” in the past season of HBO's series The Sopranos. Martini plays Anthony Infante on the show.

RobinsonCharles Robinson II (History, ’87, Ph.D. ’97) is expanding the African American Studies Program at the University of Arkansas, where he is a history professor and director of African American Studies.

Karen Wilkson (Music, ’83, M.M. ’85) and her students at Pilgrim Lutheran School won the Consumer Aerosol Products Counsel’s National Science Class Challenge.
