[Objectives]

 

     The purpose of this course is to help students understand the relationship between the Western and non-Western worlds since 1500.  Its focus will be on the cultural, political and economic exchanges between Western and non-western civilizations.  One of the aims of this course is to understand foreign cultures as well as diverse societies in the world.
