Review of Diatonic Materials
Secondary Dominants: TMTM Part III, Unit 1; MfA Unit 17
Modulation: TMTM Part III, Unit 2; MfA Unit 18

Midterm Exam: Friday, October 12

Linear Diminished Seventh Chords: TMTM Part III, Unit 3; MfA Unit 20)
The Neapolitan Triad: TMTM Part III, Unit 4; MfA Unit 21
Semester Project due: Monday, November 26

Final Exam: Monday, December 10, 11:00-2:00

Grading and Policies:

Daily work 40%
Semester Project 10%
Exams (2 x 25%) 50%

Four absences are allowed for any reason. There will be no "excused" absences beyond that number.
Fifth absence lowers final grade by a minus.
Sixth absence lowers final grade by an additional minus.
Seventh absence results in being dropped from the course (resulting in a W or F as appropriate).
Tardies: Three count as one absence.

Last day to drop without a grade: September 19
Last day to drop or withdraw: November 6

Assignments are due on the appropriate day at the start of class.
Work turned in later on the due date may be accepted at the discretion of the teacher.
Please obtain the phone number of a classmate to get information in case of absence.

NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Always bring score paper.

Students are expected to be in class and on time, with homework completed.
