Course Description: Analytical and historical studies in music of our time and of the past
century. Class meetings will take the form of a seminar (without formal
lectures). Preparation and readiness to contribute in each class discussion is
the students responsibility.
Prerequisite: Graduate standing in music, with no deficiencies
in music theory
