Biol. 3124 - Human Physiology Lab

Einthoven's Triangle for calculating the mean electrical axis of the heart

This is a one credit hour lab course, which complements the Biol. 3324 - Human Physiology lecture class. In this class students learn to use the physiograph, spectrophotometer, electrocardiograph and other laboratory instruments. Experiments on neurophysiology, muscle physiology, cardiovascular physiology, respiratory, renal and endocrine functions are performed. In some exercises anesthetized frogs, guinea pigs, and rats are used, while in others observations are recorded on human subjects. The class offers an excellent opportunity for studying physiological phenomena both in vitro and in vivo.

During the semester information on the following topics is available;

[SCHEDULE] [SYLLABUS] [LABORATORY SAFETY RULES] [ANIMAL USE PROTOCOLS] [SAMPLE TEST + KEY] [INFORMATION BULLETIN]
