Here's a couple of photos of comet Hale-Bopp taken in April of 1997.
Photo of Hale-Bopp from The Old Tucker Homeplace in Bowie, Texas. April 5, 1997. This photo was taken with a Canon TX piggybacked on a Meade telescope for tracking purposes. The lens was a Canon 50mm f1.4. The film was Kodak Ektapress Multispeed. Exposure time was 60 seconds.
Photo of Hale-Bopp from Oak Ridge North, Texas. April 6, 1997. This photo was also piggybacked on the Meade to track the comet. It was taken using a Canon FT with a 500mm f8 catadioptic Tamron lens. The film was Kodak Royal Gold 1000 exposed for 90 seconds.
Photo of Stars in the skies of Bowie, Texas, April 5, 1997. This is a 60 second exposure of M34 in Perseus using Kodak Ektapress Multispeed film and a Canon TX with a 50 mm f1.4 lens.
