Macromedia Flash 5.0 is the latest software programme developed for web-based media such as video and audio animation and simple interactivity. It is used by many web designers, who don't have Java-scripting skills, to create motion graphics on their sites. With Flash you can create compact, streaming Web animations that are easliy viewable on almost all platforms. As Flash is a vector-based programme, its animation files are very small and make for quick downloads. The Flash player controls the rendering of the vectors into bitmaps–complete with smooth, antialiased edges–and displays them on the screen. This is the typical interface for a flash file.
