  Topics and Session Organizers

  San Diego, California - May 3-8, 1998

N - FULLERENES: CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS AND NEW DIRECTIONS XI

  ****************************

Papers in the all areas of fullerenes research are invited for the
above
symposium. Abstracts should be sent to the ECS Headquarters Office
by
January 2, 1998 with a copy to the Symposium Organizer responsible
for
the individual subsections of the symposium.

It is suggested that individuals wishing to give talks (as opposed
to
posters) contact the appropriate session organizer prior to
sending the
  abstract to the ECS office.

The submitted abstract should clearly state the appropriate
subsection,
N1 through N18. Some papers selected for inclusion in the program
may be
  assigned to a poster session.

Publication of a Proceedings Volume is planned and acceptance of a
paper
for presentation will obligate the author(s) to submit a
camera-ready
manuscript at the meeting. Specific details about the format for
contributed papers for the Proceedings Volume can be obtained from
other
pages on this website, the ECS Web page and/or the relevant
Session
  Organizers.

Papers by young scientists working in all areas of fullerenes are
especially welcome in San Diego and, in order to facilitate their
participation, a large number of travel grants will be awarded to
students, postdocs, and Assistant Professors who present papers or

posters in the Fullerenes Group sessions and also publish their
work as
part of the usual Proceedings Volume associated with the meeting.
Further
information on the awarding of these grants and on the publication
of
manuscripts may be obtained from the session organizers listed
below.

More detailed information on the electronic submission of
abstracts may
be obtained by e-mail from the ECS office

  (ecs@electrochem.org) or ECS Website at:

  http://www.electrochem.org/abstracts.html

but this should be done only after reading the announcement below
and
making contact with one of the relevant session organizers:
