Vincent Dye was the son of Ezekiel Dye, founder of Renrock, Ohio. He was born in 1783 and died in 1870. He may have been named after his uncle Vincent Dye who migrated to Prince William County Virginia in the late 1780s.
He married Anna Wadell and they had 11 (12?) children:
Vincent Dye built the first brick house in the community in the year 1835. It was near the top of the hill east of Renrock above the Silas Thorla general store. The last resident was Don McNutt.
